Citizen Kane Thoughts
I had really mixed feelings about Citizen Kane. I am not a huge fan of old movies, so I my initial thoughts towards this movie were a little negative. But I kept an open mind, and i ended up liking it more than not. There are some things I didn't like about it. For instance, I have a short attention span and I really like action-y movies, so this movie to me seemed to go on and on. But it wasn't that bad. I thought the acting was pretty good, and I thought Orsen Welles did a good job directing, producing and acting. I also liked how at the end, the viewer gets to know what Rosebud was, but the characters never find out. I guess after watching Citizen Kane, I am more open to watching older movies and like them more than I thought I would.

I completely agree. I also thought it went a little long, but it did open my eyes to how older films can still be good!! great post! :)
I would have to agree, I thought it was really boring and I thought that the whole point of the movie could have been made in two seconds. They could have told us sooner or they could have added like you said more action. He had really an uneventful life, sitting at home with his wife doing puzzles not my ideal kind of night. But I definitely liked this movie compared to the western unit. I personally like drama more then westerns and I just felt like this was a dry in comparison to most movies made at this time. Anyways I thought your post was good because it his on some really good points on how the director could have worked on getting much more creative and you really told your feelings well. Good Job!
I am not a huge fan of older movies either, but it is a classic. It turned out pretty good.
